Technology-sector events have a distinct shape. The audience is frequently distributed across offices and timezones, which makes hybrid production the default rather than an upgrade. The venue is often a campus rather than a hotel, which brings badge coordination, gate passes and load-in windows that work around a working floor. And the content is usually recorded — an all-hands gets watched more times after the event than during it.
That changes what production has to deliver. Clean audio matters more than it does in a room-only event, because a poor recording is unusable. Lighting has to be rated for camera, not just for the audience. And the run sheet needs slack built in for remote Q&A ingestion, which almost always takes longer than anyone plans for.
